It's very important that you tell friends and family that you have an account with lastwishbook.com. If you die they need to know where to get the information about your funeral.
When you join the site there is the option to link lastwishbook.com to your Facebook page and also there is an 'invite' tool where you can invite all your Hotmail or Yahoo and other email contacts to join your network.
If you would like to keep all your information more private then you can just give a couple of close friends or family your account password so they are able to access your details in the event of your death.
It's essential that you let people know about your profile so that all your wishes are followed through.
The information that is kept with-in your lastwishbook.com profile is not legally binding (unless you have bought a funeral plan or will via the site) It is your wishes and it's up to your friends and family to follow through all these funeral wishes, therefore you may also want to leave the details of your profile within your legal will. You can also leave your password for your account in your legal will incase loved ones do not know your profile exists.
Your account will automatically turn into a remembrance page when you die, friends and family will be able to post condolences and comments on your profile, they will be able to view your photos and share memories with other members. The site will provide a place people can go after you have gone, a bit like a modern day grave side, a place to stop and remember a loved one, talk to them and remember their life.
At lastwishbook.com we cant be responsible for you informing people that you have an account with us..... This part is up to you! You can invite as many or as little people as you like. You must inform them not only that you have an account but also that in the event of your death you would like them to follow all the details you have laid out in your profile.
It is impossible for us at lastwishbook.com to know if you have died so it's a good idea for you to nominate perhaps 5 special contacts who will know your password to your account, they will then be able to inform your other contacts of your demise and also begin preparing your funeral the way you wanted it to be.
Then from this, once people are informed of your death, your profile will exponentially transform into a remembrance page.
So, Get those profiles filled out and email all your buddies to let them know about your account... This way you can be sure you'll have all your final wishes followed through.
